π ADVICE NEEDED
A woman has been dating her boyfriend for four years. He has always been loving and supportive, and she believed they were building a future together.
Recently, she got a fantastic opportunity to start a business.
Her boyfriend initially encouraged her, but after she became successful, his attitude changed.
He started telling her:
βYou're becoming too independent.β
Whenever she bought something with her own money, he questioned her. When she made decisions without asking him, he became angry.
One day, she told him:
βI want a partner, not someone who controls me.β
He replied:
βA woman shouldn't become so independent that she no longer needs her man.β
She loves him, but she doesn't want to shrink herself just to make him comfortable.
What should she do?
β€οΈ Stay and try to work through it?
π€ Set clear boundaries and see if he changes?
πͺ Walk away before marriage makes things worse?
Can a relationship survive when one partner feels threatened by the other's success?
What advice would you give her? π
