Relationship Trauma: "I Was Never the Problem"
I spent months trying to become everything they wanted.
I changed how I dressed.
I changed how I spoke.
I apologized for things I didn't even do.
Every argument somehow became my fault.
When they cheated, they blamed me for "not giving enough attention."
When they lied, they said I was "too insecure."
I believed them.
Until one day, someone asked me a simple question:
"If your best friend was being treated this way, what advice would you give them?"
That question changed everything.
I finally realized that love should never make you lose yourself just to keep someone else happy.
Real love brings peace, not constant confusion.
The scars are still there, but so is my strength.
Now I know this:
The person who truly loves you won't make you question your value every single day.
Discussion: What's the biggest lesson a painful relationship has taught you?
