π ADVICE NEEDED
A woman had been dating her boyfriend for seven years.
They started dating when they were both struggling. She believed in him when nobody else did.
When he lost his job, she shared her little money with him.
When he wanted to start a business, she encouraged him.
When his family needed help, she stood by him.
He always told her:
βOne day, I'll marry you. Just be patient with me.β
She waited.
Then, after seven years, he finally became financially stable.
She thought the wedding would finally happen.
Instead, he told her:
βMy parents have chosen someone else for me.β
She was devastated.
She asked him:
βAfter everything we've been through, you're choosing someone else because your parents told you to?β
He replied:
βI love you, but I can't go against my family.β
She cried for days.
Eventually, she walked away.
Three years later, she received an invitation to his wedding.
She almost ignored it.
But she went.
As she watched him marry another woman, she remembered the days when he had nothing and she believed in him.
She smiled through her tears and whispered:
βI hope she gets the version of you I spent seven years waiting for.β
Then she left.
π If the person you loved chose family pressure over you after years together, would you forgive them?
Or would you consider that a sign they were never ready to fight for the relationship?
What advice would you give her? π
