This is the Ferrari Luce, Ferrari’s very first all-electric car - and it might be the most controversial car of the decade! Explore new and used car deals with Carwow: https://shorturl.at/M75mL It’s not the first time Ferrari has looked to use electrical power in its cars. The likes of the SF90 and 296 are some of the most popular Ferraris around. But this is the very first all-electric car to roll off the production line at Maranello - and the reception has been… Interesting! So what’s all the fuss about? Let’s take a closer look. In terms of the design, there’s one BIG factor in why people aren’t happy with the looks - and that’s because it wasn’t even designed by Ferrari! It was designed by LoveFrom, a creative collective headed up by ex-Apple designer Sir Jony Ive, and it seems their end product has proven especially divisive. There are ‘floating’ front and rear spoilers, rear-hinged doors for the back seat passengers, and it comes in as Ferrari’s largest car to date - over 5m long! All in all, we worry that it looks more like an indistinguishable Chinese EV, rather than a car worth a £400,000+ price tag! Thankfully, there’s a lot to like about the interior. Despite being an EV, physical dials and buttons have been retained. There’s a large, movable infotainment screen in the centre of the dash, but otherwise it’s kept relatively minimalist and clean - unlike most modern cars with fussy, complicated interiors. What’s more, it’s also the second Ferrari to come with 4 doors, and the first to come with a bench seat for 5 passengers in the rear! In terms of performance, the Luce is an absolute powerhouse. It comes with four electric motors, and these combine to propel you to 60mph in just 2.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 193mph, and it produces an eye-watering 1,050hp! However, despite its huge size, it’s not the heaviest EV out there, tipping the scales at 2,260kg. That’s 400kg lighter than a BMW iX M70! So what do you think - is it worth the huge £474,000 price tag?! And more importantly, do you think Ferrari will actually manage to sell any other?! Let us know in the comments!

They obviously didn’t want to sell a single one of these. There can’t be any other explanation.
I always wanted a bigger Honda jazz for 600k...
Mat is literally the only journalist I’ve heard being honest about the looks
Ferrari so ashamed they didn't even dare paint it in the classic Ferrari red.
What happened to Ferrari...
Sorry mercedes, we didn't know
To be honest, this is a terrific car; all they need to do is change the name to BYD and reduce the price by more than 90%
I thought the AMG GT 4-door was terrible, but the Ferrari tops that nightmare. Nothing adds up here.
once you see the windscreen wipers its impossible to unsee them
So glad Matt isn’t fearing Ferrari and giving an honest opinion.
FINALLY. A reviewer who actually calls out this horrendous design. Props to you guys for calling it out and not shilling like the rest of the so-called “experts”. Thank you for that.
Genuinely what the fuck was Ferrari thinking?
In Marques Brownlee's words, "It looks like a BYD seal ate a ferrari"
What a time to be alive when a 60K Xiaomi YU7 GT is 1000 times more desirable than this 600K Ferrari Luce 🤯
Jaguar: "Man that was a bad idea. At least it couldn't have gotten worse". Ferrari: "Hold my beer".
April 1st was almost 2 months ago…
