In this video I travel to Dubai to explore a side of the city that most tourists never see. Dubai is famous for its luxury, skyscrapers and incredible wealth. But I wanted to understand who actually built the city and what life is like for the thousands of workers behind the scenes. During my time there, I spoke with construction workers, locals and people living in the worker districts. I visited the areas where many of the people who build Dubai live and tried to understand their daily lives and experiences. Seeing these places gave me a completely different perspective on the city. The contrast between the famous skyline and everyday life in other parts of Dubai is something that surprised me. While filming, unexpected events also unfolded in the region as tensions rose in the Middle East, which influenced the atmosphere during my trip. This video is not about judging — it’s about showing the full picture of Dubai, beyond the luxury hotels and tourist attractions. Watch until the end to see what I discovered.
