You’re a great restaurant reviewer 👍
Irani chai uses thicker milk than regular chai. You can simmer the milk to reduce it, or you can add milk powder or khoya / mawa. Irani chai comes from Hyderabad -- in Iran, people usually drink tea without milk. I'm suspicious that Charminar didn't serve you proper Irani chai, because I've never had Hong Kong milk tea with thickened milk. You can repeat the experiment at Deccan Morsels (in the same shopping center), which _does_ serve proper Irani chai. 18:24
Always look forward to Chonky when she curses! Thats how you know it good! haha the best reviews ever! And Happy Birthday!
Love that you did two videos of Sunnyvale. I've been meaning to go to some of the places you've featured in both parts. Your videos are telling me to go asap!
Lol, that rice. I would have totally spilled that everywhere too 😆 If I'm watching someone else's video and I hear one of the noises you use, I'm like, that's Chonks noise. Then I wish I was watching one of your videos instead. Food Karen, you're hilarious 😂 "Bobble IRL" you should totally have channel membership, your content is so good and you pay for everything yourself it would be great to have a way to thank you and support the channel. Phew, so glad you caught the train. Was on the edge of my seat there. Byeeeeee 🫶
I'm Goan-Maharashtran and headed to Surmai tonight for that thali! Thanks for your recs - I love your channel and it's helping me eat my way around the peninsula. :)
Hmm. Fishes directly from India!? After watching all these videos about how polluted the Indian rivers are, I will hesitate to eat them. If I saw fishes from India in the supermarkets, I will stay away. 😙😙😙
In the same area as Charminar there's a joint called Deccan Morsels and for the chai specifically that is likely a better place and better representation of Irani chai than charminars. so if you're still in sunnyvale do try that chai out too. there's a branch in Fremont too. You give off good energy and vibe! And btw a non-indian suggestion, since you were eating middle-eastern too, you might want to check out Kabul (afghani)
Let's Get Chonk!
Happy belated birthday my ABG!
💗💗
Yes !Do the part3.😋😜
Nicely done (your whole channel). You go deep and impart a lot of cultural/anthropologic knowledge. Enjoy your enthusiasm and worldliness. I learn a lot. In the last two weeks, I have picked up and tried three 'new to me' places in Millbrae and San Bruno and liked them all. Good to see the Japan stuff. Part of my work is taking biotech execs into obscure Japan neighborhoods and restaurants. I monologue a lot as well but not even sure I can keep up with your pace. Do you do a lot of editing?
去食朋友👳🏾♂️👳🏾♂️🍛🍛🤤🤤😋😋
hey since you like Indian food you should go to some buffets in the area! there are a lot less than before but they have the best value.
wthelly!
Do an Indian food tour. Maybe some places in Fremont. I’m definitely taking the wife to Meyhouse.
Like to listen you speak Cantonese
Love your reviews, because of their honesty. BTW, Zareen's has recently opened in Sunnyvale - down the street from Meyhouse.
I love love love chicken 65! That looks super close to the one I order at my favorite restaurant. Making me hungry! 🫶🫶🫶
