Between January and September 2025, there have been 946,426 job cuts announced, with roughly 300,000 from the government sector, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas. But some economists don't buy that recent layoffs are caused by AI. Economic uncertainty, tariffs and less consumer spending might be hurting U.S. workers more than CEOs will admit. Good conclusion
Layoffs happening due to AI are really upsetting for a lot of employees.
AI isn’t the only cause of layoffs — but it’s absolutely changing headcount math. It’s not “replacing everyone overnight,” it’s shrinking teams slowly by reducing backfills. That’s the real impact.
this makes me rethink a lot of stuff 😳
interesting take on the whole ai thing
wow i never thought about AI like this
thanks for breaking it down so simply 🙌
love the info but kinda scary too 😬
I switched from other AI tools to Pneumatic Workflow for its intuitive no-code interface.
This is what I do on Pneumatic Workflow-automating processes while ensuring my team stays intact.
I found that Pneumatic Workflow handles workflow automation better than other AI tools I've tried.
ai washing sounds wild, never heard that term
Gracias por el audio en español es genial
Excellent analysis. The harsh reality is just that the market is soft, demand is low and uncertainty is high. At least in many central parts of Europe we have a de-facto recession, over 2 years now, the longest downturn since economy rebounded after WW2. When companies cannot sell their products or services, an easy way to cut costs is to get rid of people. But it's certainly not because AI is replacing human work on a large scale - yet. I agree with the comment in the video that there are some productivity gains for sure, which translates in some cases that people get redundant, especially in larger teams/corporations. In the long run however the scenario that AI replaces lots of human jobs is definitely real. I don't know if it's in 2, 5 or 10 years, but it seems kind of inevitable to me. And we should use some brain power *now* to think how we deal with this as a society...
