Id say of the two the runner just because you get more leg room😂
Comparing the two is almost like apples and oranges. If you want a pickup, the Tacoma would obviously be in the running. If you want a SUV, then you would consider the 4Runner. It doesn’t really make much sense to consider one or the other, especially since they offer the same drivetrain as well as many other parts and design features.
I love the new 4Runner design, but I'd buy a Tacoma because you can still get a manual transmission. Didn't expect the seat material design to be different between the two, but the 4Runner is way nicer. Simple. Looks less like an aftermarket Autozone cover with that fake diamond plate pattern in the Tacoma. Cheesy and gross, IMO.
