Zac and Ine, I hope you're doing well. 😊 I just wanted to say thank you 🙏: I cannot travel much and your channel brings me the very next best thing, which is images, information and feelings of places that I will not see by myself but that become my own personal memories and, somehow, experience. 🧠 I am aware that the initial purpose of your channel is to facilitate other people's travels so in engineering terms, I suggest we consider this transmission of info and feelings as a very positive by-product. 😊 So please, keep travelling and enchanting us with your adventures, all the best guys. ✨ PS: from an aesthetic point of view, your fine choice of words and calm tonality make your narration very pleasant to listen 🙂
Oh so nice. My favourite travel couple is now in my own country! Have fun guys!!
Lekker, lekker 😎 On 29 September 1969 at around 10pm, South Africa experienced its strongest recorded earthquake — the Tulbagh (or Ceres-Tulbagh) Earthquake. Measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale, it struck the Boland region with its epicentre near Tulbagh. The quake destroyed or severely damaged hundreds of homes (especially historic Cape Dutch buildings on Church Street), triggered landslides and fires, and claimed 12 lives (including children at the Steinthal home). Thousands were left homeless. Yet from the rubble rose remarkable resilience: the community and the nation came together to rebuild, restoring Tulbagh’s heritage and turning tragedy into one of the town’s proudest chapters. Still the benchmark for seismic events in South Africa after all these years.
Excellent video.
