Human rights, sovereignty and self-determinations didn't come into being when the UN signatories codified them in the Charter, Covenants and laws. They are natural, universal and applicable to any pro-social civil society, just as Informed Consent and the Golden Rule (Don't do to others what you would not want done to you.) are the foundational laws of civil society. We don't have to FIGHT for our human RIGHTS. We ARE sovereign and self-determined, naturally. What we need to do is defend our sovereign boundaries and authority to remain self-determined when violators against pro-social laws oppress us. We need to ensure that anti-social predators and parasites are prevented from holding public office and candidates for such offices are pre-screened and disqualified on the grounds of incompetence. Self-interested individuals aren't good at making public interest decisions. The UN nation states have had 100 years to come up with enforcement polices for the protection of human rights, sovereignty and self-determination. They haven't introduced enforcement, but they have granted themselves legal immunity throughout all levels of government. Are they incompetent, willfully negligent or do they harbor malicious criminal intent against the masses? Do most people prefer to turn a blind eye toward the self-serving maintenance of exploitable social vulnerabilities, i.e. no human rights law enforcement, but legal immunity of ruling class? Remember, if your nation is a UN member state, those questions applies to your government too. In our families and our communities, we all know that if we do something offensive against another, i.e. failed to ask for consent and did something we would not want done to us, that would justifiably provoke a defensive response that would be an unpleasant consequence to us. So, we don't do offensive things to our neighbors. We keep the peace by respecting others the way we want to be respected. That's how pro-social communities function. If governments aren't functioning like real, pro-social human societies function, look for the anti-social predators and parasites exploiting human institutions for personal gain. We don't need more laws. We need the ones we already have enforced, so that law-makers aren't immune from the consequences of their own anti-social, predatory and/or parasitic violations of the laws. When predators are making decisions for you, your right to live and breathe aren't even guaranteed.
