Classic character. The 90s movie was campy fun. Watched it with my son about 6 years ago.
Even without checking, I think it's safe to say that The Phantom is no longer in 500 US newspapers. The Billy Zane movie was fun. It's a shame it never got any sequels. Who knows? Maybe, they'll do an Australian film in a few years where Billy Zane passes his Phantom ring on to his and Diana's son.

I really believe that if The Phantom was with a company like a Marvel or DC comics The Phantom would be more popular today. I love Mandrake the Magician. 🎩
The Phantom is one of my favorite masked crime fighters I have many Phantom books and a good dvd/blue ray collection of whatever is available I really like that movie with Billy Zane and the 1940’s movie serial is one of the best of the serials the main reason he’s not as popular as Superman or Batman or Spiderman is he’s not DC or Marvel. By the way the first masked crime fighter was really Zorro created in 1919 but the Phantom qualifies more as a “superhero” even though he has no super powers but many don’t.
Unlike many other superheroes, the Phantom has no superpowers; he relies on his strength, intelligence, skills at arms (he carries two holstered handguns, a revolver and a 1911 .45 autopistol, one on each hip, and he is also an expert marksman with both), and the myth of his immortality to take action against the forces of evil.
Thank you!
Excellent documentary job 👌👍✅
Unfortunately, the 1996 movie based on the comic strip character bomb at the box office.👎🤬🦨📽️
I have all kinds of Phantom merch Buttons & Pins. Action Figures, Tshirts and more. I grew up on all the Serials Flash, The Phantom, The Spider, Green Hornet. Blackhawk I got to see the Billy Zane film in the theatre and remember thinking how awesome the costume looked and how the film match the feel of the serials.
I knew Falk’s daughter. She lived with her mother, and rarely saw her dad.
They're going to reboot this character in a new D.E.I television series
Finally!!
A forgotten hero from long ago!! 😮😮
msu has a large archive of the phantom as part of the comic collection the largest in america if not on earth since msu begen in the earl 70,s also parts of austerlia.
My favorite since I was a young boy and I'm 68 now and still read the phantom.
I used to own the ring that was given-out at the theater to anyone who saw the movie. The Phantom is like Scrooge McDuck - he's usually guarding his treasures from fangs trying to rob it. Don Rosa could write The Phantom. 🦆
