What's funny to me is that sooo many women will go on and on at length about how dangerous and scary pregnancy can be, but then those _same women_ are silent or will bully people who say "Being overweight makes you higher risk for pregnancy complications." I've seen so many of the fat acceptance crowd go "Wull, ackshully, there's a lot of things that put you at higher risk besides that!" Yes, there are but we're talking about weight. Stop moving that goalpost. And they do it for other health problems as well: high blood pressure and heart disease being the main two.

I have to roll my eues every time someone equate "thinness" to "looking like a child." It's not my fault that body positive polly or whatever tf has no boobs and a rectangular body under all that adiposity, but I can guarantee that at 120 lbs I do not, in fact, look like a child... at all... saying "losing weight puts you in line with pdf beauty standards" is such a sick manipulative fear mongery way of keeping people stuck where they are.

I really don't like Jessica Blaire. She did/does (?) a series "Is It Cute Or Are You Just Skinny" and it feels so conscending... and her followers "the outfit is actually cuter on YOU".
