McDonalds CEO Chris Kempczinski has recently been the focus of a viral social media sensation; particularly his promotion of the new Big Arch special. So I dissect the highest leverage, signal only reasons I believe this social media frenzy actually kicked off. Because in the era of social media, sometimes the most delicate of details are what matters, and this is one of those cases. I go over concepts like the purple cow from Seth Godin. Consumer and viewer psychology and how that relates to social media and how brands should position their content. Along with many other social media nuances. I look forward to bringing more of the highest value, needle moving information for content creators, founders, marketers and everyone a-like. hope you enjoyed my first Salty Signal video!

I understand where you're coming from, it definitely did get people talking about mcdonalds 100%. My biggest issue, though, is at what cost? Sure, people wanted to try to burger that the CEO himself clearly didn't want to eat. This time, it got enough people talking about mcdonalds to make it worth it, but people aren't going to forget that (even if its not true), the CEO himself took the smallest bite possible to say that he "ate mconalds" and called their food a "product". Maybe it worked to spread the word for the big arch burger, but any new marketing campaigns are going to be met with skepticism. It's really hard to replicate that "I want to try the burger the CEO basically refused to eat" energy. That's** the problem with, as you put it, "clownbait". It diminished the brand in the long run, while helped boost other fast food brands that showed their CEOs actually eating their company's food and enjoying it. I'll 100% own that I'm speculating as well, but part of what mcdonalds has going for it is that reputation of always being consistent no matter which mcdonalds you go to, and I can't see how this did anything except make people more skeptical of the quality of that consistency. Outside of the actual subject matter, very well done video! It was an interesting look at marketing in general and how weird just a single clip can turn into a whole viral craze on social media.
Hey, I just watched your first video — good start. I’m building my editing portfolio right now and helping newer channels grow. If you ever want help tightening pacing, adding captions, or making shorts from your content, I’d be happy to edit something for you free so you can see my work.

I just realized.. that my big macs never came hot, disgusting.
People suck. That is my synopsis
Your analysis of the ad itself is good, but I don't get the end. You REALLY think you - some random guy on the internet - has figured out how a multi-million dollar company should do their advertising in a way that they could not have figured out themselves?
