In this video, I’m flying from Hanoi to Paris onboard the Airbus A350-900, one of the flagship aircraft of Vietnam Airlines. The journey starts at Noi Bai International Airport, where the airport is unusually busy tonight. Fortunately, SkyPriority makes the process smooth, and within minutes I’m already heading to the Vietnam Airlines lounge. The lounge itself is fairly standard, but offers everything needed before a long-haul flight: seating, showers, and a decent buffet selection. Boarding begins, and onboard we find a Cirrus Business Class seat in a 1-2-1 configuration, offering direct aisle access. A solid and reliable product for this 12-hour overnight flight to Paris. Shortly after takeoff, the service begins. The crew is attentive and professional, setting the tone for the entire flight. Dinner is served with a very pleasant surprise: – smoked salmon and mushrooms to start – followed by a beef tenderloin with pepper sauce, perfectly executed The catering is a real highlight on this flight. After the meal, I quickly fall asleep somewhere over India… and wake up after a solid 5+ hours of sleep, making this flight particularly comfortable. Breakfast is then served before arrival, with a simple but tasty omelet to start the day. Overall, both the catering and service onboard were excellent, making this flight a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Upon arrival in Paris, things get a bit more… “Parisian”. Landing at a remote gate, taking the LISA train, and facing a crowded passport control, the classic CDG experience. Thankfully, everything moves relatively quickly, and within about 20 minutes, I’m through. A very strong performance from Vietnam Airlines on this route, with great service, quality meals, and a comfortable seat.
