These bacteria that are added by professionals in laboratory under supervision are beneficial for health. Final products are tested billion times for one reason - safety because it might be dangerous if the error occurs. It’s done in sterile conditions so no mistake is made. Second of all … yes, vinegar is used but it’s not diluted and it’s not the main ingredient as many people think. Please don’t do it at home. You just grow shit in your jars. Your condition will never be sterile and you definitely don’t have specialized bacteria at home and…. You are not educated to do such onions!!! I don’t even do all that 😂 I shove the onions in a jar, pour in hot water from my electric kettle, dump in vinegar and salt, eyeballed, and call it good.

I know it’s not the season for it, but if you want it with a touch of something different, you can try adding a cinnamon stick and some cloves for a very interesting “Christmas-y” flavor. But since it’s March I just added some sliced jalapeños in mine and that was delish Love your videos!
