Fun people have fun anywhere.
If you're on a cruise and somebody says he'd prefer Carnival over this, you know you're in serious trouble.
It’s interesting how cruise ships often get reviewed as if they’re all competing on the same level—when in reality, they’re built for completely different audiences and price points. The Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is a budget-friendly, short getaway cruise on a 30+ year-old ship. It’s not trying to compete with premium experiences like Princess Cruises or Royal Caribbean—and it shouldn’t be judged as if it is. From what I’ve seen, the crew is consistently described as warm, hardworking, and committed to creating a fun atmosphere despite the ship’s age and limitations. And in many cases, the onboard energy and activities actually rival some of the bigger-name lines. If you go in expecting a luxury experience, you’re probably going to be disappointed. But if you approach it as an affordable, quick escape—especially with the frequent deals (including promos for teachers and first responders)—it can deliver exactly what it promises. A lot of the negative reviews feel like expecting a steakhouse experience at a fast-food price point. That mismatch in expectations matters. The real question isn’t “Is this ship as good as the top-tier lines?” It’s “Does this ship deliver a solid experience for what it is?”
Looks like a "next to the highway" Motel 6 at sea.

EBT cruise
I remember when Simon Wilson did this cruise 🚢,
No more cruises for me. My wife and I went on an Alaskan cruise last August on Norwegian. The only good food was the steakhouse that you could only do once. The rest of the food had no flavor. The lobster was like shoe leather. That, and my wife and I got COVID before it was over. Once we were home we were both sick for 10 days. You are brave going on this ship alone. Always be safe.

Speed run of how to get Bed Bugs and Black Fatigue
Greyhound bus on water. You got a wagon that clientele would like though.
Omg $1300 for 1 person for 3 days in the worst rated cruise? I pay the same amount for 4 people in MSC cruise or Carnival.
As an avid cruiser and someone who has gone on nearly 20 cruises with my wife and now also my son, I have truly never had a bad experience. Everyone wants to complain and cause issues, but at the end of the day, if you go there and simply enjoy yourself, every experience will be great. I have never had a bad experience on any cruise line, or any issues that would hinder my experience. To me however, my preference is Carnival.
Yikes, you know the ship is bad when someone says they prefer Carnival.
I’d rather paddle my way to the Bahamas than to get on that ship lol
Please do a collab with Simon Wilson
Lexie way too cute to be traveling alone.😂
That's a floating dodge charger
