Going trans Atlantic on the Allura next month. We got drink package and excursion credit! Trick is to book early. It will be hard to resist the crepes. We have sales the opposite direction on the Vista. Service was excellent. We spent many days in the library (so many days at sea.). Love your reviews!
An absolutely fabulous video. I watched you on a sea day on my 129 day world cruise on Seabourn. You presented a beautiful ship, but one I will not sail on. Too many passengers - only 450 on my cruise. For many of us, a smaller number of passengers is paramount. Even 900 passengers are 450 too many. With nearly the one-to-one ratio of crew to passengers, a very family, warm, relationship develops with the crew. It’s amazing the number of passengers who bring gifts back from their excursions for the crew. The smaller number of passengers and the family feel with the crew are two reasons that we stay with a smaller ship. That being said, many people prefer the larger socialization of the larger ships. For those of us who don’t, these little ships are heaven.
How easy/possible would it be to get a table for 2? Quite surprised to see you on a shared table in a speciality restaurant..

Simonne and I have been on Oceania Insignia, Vista and the Allura. All wonderful ships. The Allura and Vista are sister ships virtually identical. My one and only complaint is getting reservations for the specialty dining. The reservation open up at different times depending upon what cabin you have. The standard cabin opens 60 days prior to sailing whereas the suites open mush earlier. Bottom line they give preference to the big spenders and the rest need to jump through hoops. Fortunately my travel guy who was on the cruise just before ours stepped in and sorted this out for us. Bottom line be prepared for some disappointments when trying to get the specialty dining.
