1. Learn the basics of programming. Estimated 6 months - 1 year. 2. Data structures and Algorithms - 6 months (basic) +1 year for harder topics. 3. Coding interviews preparation. (6 months at least). 3. Learn technologies - front end, backend, databases, version control, Linux, cloud. 1-2 years. 4. Study System design. Design Patterns. Language specific stuff. 4. Apply, resume writing, networking, meetups, hackathons. Work on Behavioral questions. 5. Build your own projects. Always.

Man being an Indian eng. Is really something else if she got a job so easily with these skills,I have worked on a research paper and made desktop applications for it (online/smart voting system),developed Android game,Wholesale website with django and site like "I love pdf" with django and all of this by my own and not even considering other projects that I didn't even mentioned as they feel like they don't show what my true skills are.

Love to see this self taught coders online "bragging" but as soon as u ask them a networking/architecture or pretty much everything else that's taught in college or more complex algorithm question their brain explodes.
