Scratch is a full on coding software if you don't use it as just a tutorial. You can make some insane shit in scratch

I used to be very well versed in scratch lol. I remember liking it. I took a python class last semester for college but I didn't really like it and kinda struggled. Maybe I'll boot that back up.

Scratch will always be a fun way to code. Been using it now for 4 years and learned a lot. I can map my experience from Scratch into the syntax of other coding languages, that make learning the syntax really simple! Currently learning C++, Python, and a few other languages. Mostly focusing on game development, but engine development is also a lot fun. One of my current main projects with Scratch right now is a 1,5h long psychological indie horror game with heavy story and atmosphere focus. The game is build on top of a Unity like event engine that I'm also making in Scratch. It's so far one of my most complex projects, since it uses some really big systems and data structures. The game might end up with +20.000 blocks! So yeah, Scratch is a great way to learn the basics and maybe even some advanced stuff. I would definitely recommend it for beginners.
