As someone who had an idea, decided to build it, used chatgpt to create my code and offload it into files onto my computer....as someone who was hella inspired but fizzled due to literally option exhaustion. thank you. thank you. I want this and it felt like you were talking to me. thank you.

that part about 'the dip' by seth godin really hit home for me. it’s so easy to get through the honeymoon phase of coding and then want to quit when you hit the first major roadblock. i’ve been trying to follow your advice on finishing what you start, even if it’s just a simple news feed app. i actually used tiiny host to host a quick prototype last week just to see how it looked on mobile while i was debugging, it was a nice little 'quick win' to keep me motivated. definitely going to check out that robert lafore book too, dsa has been my biggest hurdle so far!

+1 on the Odin Project. What I like about it is it has you create a local environment and use command line along with an IDE, like you're on the job. Odin Project definitely helped me with front end.

Hi, I’m 37 and I decided to put my entire previous career aside and start learning to code. It’s been almost a month since the course started, and I constantly feel like I’m behind everyone else. When the instructor asks a question, I often just stare at the screen — not knowing where to use loops, where if-else fits, or how arrays really come together. It feels like I’m trying to build a house but can’t make the foundations solid… or like learning math while still missing the four basic operations. Your video was genuinely comforting and very helpful. I hope this phase passes soon, and that I can stop questioning myself so much. Thank you for sharing this.
