Im Asian and I consider myself to be fairly smart in academics. Although this video provided many methods that can benefit students, it ultimately comes down to how you learn and process information. People don’t comprehend or understand information in the same way or same rate. So the real strategy is to study the way you learn!

Not every Asian student is automatically good at math. I’m Asian too, and honestly, I struggle with it. Don’t assume all of us are smart at everything—we mess up too.

We Asians do not take anything in textbooks for granted. We try to reinvent the wheel. We are happy that we reinvented. We get the understanding that the first person invented it.

Wow! I'm an adult who graduated high school in 1986. I only got to pre algebra and I barely passed it. Just a few years ago I picked up math as a hobby and started to relearn math using books and YouTube videos. I think the Asian method is great. I wish they taught it this way when I was in school. They should teach it this way.

I am Indonesian and yes number one is tiger parents and we have a proverb "learn math like Chinese" means using commercial transactions to apply a topic. Beside that, we use "baby language" method or "bahasa bayi" to stimulate kids brain. For example for "-12 + 6" we visualize to the kids "imagine you have 12 cent debt and you pay 6 cent. How much your debt left now ?"

📌 Study Rules (Short Version) Active learning – stay calm, solve each problem in 3 ways. Strong fundamentals – basics first. Notebook method – one page for mistakes, one for solutions. Understand → memorize – never memorize first. Timed practice – solve under pressure. Teach back – explain after finishing the chapter. Daily 20-minute practice – focused, no distractions.
