Welcome! I'm thrilled to share my long-awaited ultimate BUCKWHEAT BREAD recipe. It took several months of delicious tinkering to discover the special plant-based ingredients that add unbeatable flavor, depth, and texture to this very healthy bread. Full Recipe: 4 cups Hulled Buckwheat (aka buckwheat groats) 5.5 cups Water 1 cup cooked Chickpeas .5 cup Flaxseeds, ground 1 cup Sunflower Seeds 1 cup Nutritional Yeast 2 tbsp Brown Sesame Seeds 1 tsp Salt 1 cup Potato Flakes or Instant Mashed Potatoes 2 tbsp Blackstrap Molasses (make sure it's organic) 1 tbsp Instant Yeast Soak the buckwheat in water for 8-12 hours at room temperature. Then blend with the cooked chickpeas. Grind flaxseeds separately. In a food processor or blender, grind up sunflower seeds, nutritional yeast, sesame seeds, and salt. Combine in a large bowl with flaxseeds, potato flakes, and buckwheat mixture. Mix thoroughly until all lumps are incorporated. Add blackstrap molasses and instant yeast. Mix well. Pour into your preferred baking vessel (loaf pan, muffin cups, cast iron skillet, etc) and bake at 350 until fully cooked. Loaf = ~1 hour 45 minutes Muffins/Rolls = ~25-30 minutes Skillet = ~15 minutes on the stove on low heat, plus ~30 minutes in the oven With INSTANT yeast, you can bake right away (no need to proof). If you're using regular yeast, let it proof for 15-30 minutes in a warm environment. Hey Lily! Would you make an updated dry brush routine/update. I feel like I should take that up now in my 30's but haven't and I feel like it is perhaps something best done regularly to get good results! OPS! Note to others: I tried this with kasha (roasted buckwheat) bc it was all my local health food store had and it didn’t work well. Still tastes good, but texture is wrong.

I agree, so glad you put those bloopers back in at the end bc they are hilarious! Although, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing your spicy and funny self all through the video. ;) I am starting back on this plant based path after a time off it with being let down from all the claims that it will just be the golden ticket to health and wellness. I think we were missing some key vitamins and minerals that I am taking now from a very high quality supplement, so hopefully we will see our health improve even more back on plant based. I do think I feel lighter inside, not as greasy or heavy from the animal foods, so that's a good start! Question for you: your husband looks like he's got some good muscle action going on which I'm sure you appreciate ;) but my husband doesn't know many people who are plant based that actually gain muscle mass, and that is his goal. We have been watching the documentary on Netflix about the blue zones and centenarians; my husband was like that's great they live to be that old, but he doesn't see any of them with much muscle, and they eat a primarily plant based diet. So I was just wondering how your husband eats to keep or gain muscle? :)
