Can you learn a language by watching TV shows? 🤔 Yes, but relying on captions often means you're doing it wrong. Your brain takes the path of least resistance, so for true learning, actively mine dialogue for vocabulary instead of passively relying on subtitles. This approach enhances brain health and aids in language acquisition. 🧠 https://learn.lingopie.com/learningmode 🍿Lingopie. ive learned korean this way
HAH! I learned Japanese under a year watching anime(Still improving but can understand conversations and anime without subs)
I actually learned english as a second language this way. I reached fluency much much earlier than other people because instead of learning it in school, I just watched english youtubers all day until I began understanding the language itself.
I did exactly that and some day I realised I understood everything and forgot to put on the subtitles. Sooo this is b*llsh*t 😅
İ did do and my english is good asf so yeah marvel is the reason ik english alot watched WHOLE marvel universe english dub and the language i know as subtitle
I learned English like this ( I'm Italian /Tunisian) My brother forced me to watch with him English videos and now I've learned most of english
I was able to understand japanese after 2 years of watching anime. I used to watch 3 to 4 hours daily, after 3rd year my speaking skills improved, I was able to understand basic conversation of japanese shows, interviews etc. After 5th year. I can watch a movie / interview without any subtitles and can understand almost 70% of the content.
I learnd Hindi from watching tv shows for 10 years!
That's how I learned to understand spoken Japanese tho.
I learned racist English watching gran torino, it was not intentional
the edit of this, ending in the middle of a sentence is so infuriating that I will never click on the long form content. it’s very frustrating. ive watched other shorts where they give you the gist of the whole idea while giving few details to pique my interest. on those I do click on just some constructive criticism
Then how do you do that bro?
