"at least it was a fun number" 🤣🤣
1:41 😂😂😂 almost spat out my coffee 😅
Great content and tips! A little public service announcement, not a tip but an important plane courtesy issue that 95% of travellers are clueless about. *** When getting in and out of your seat, DO NOT use the seat in front of of you to lift yourself up (thus yanking the head back of the person sleeping in front of you). Instead, push yourself off your own arm rests or seat, simple courtesy that will be much appreciated!
My tips: 1. Always keep your seatbelt on. Clear-air turbulence comes out of nowhere. 2. If I want to sleep and they're serving a meal, I'll make a little Sharpie note saying NO FOOD PLEASE so they don't have to wake me up to ask. 3. Don't sit in the last row. The seats don't recline, and you'll feel turbulence the worst. 4. Stow your personal item under the seat ahead of you with the zipper/opening facing you, so it's harder for that person to get access to it.
I want the window seat because I actually want to look out of the window!
Sleeping on the tray table is really bad when the person in front of you reclines.
My best flying hack or advice. Work hard and make lots of money so you can fly business or first😅❤
I think all arm rests should be up for faster and easier boarding. As a senior it’s difficult to get into the seats as you hurdle over the arm rests!
I use a small, simple fanny pack for my "flight bag" and loop the strap over the hinge of the tray table so it hangs in front of the seat back pocket. All my little essentials are right at hand, and I can also stash my eyeglasses in there while I sleep.
A bag within a bag is another great idea amongst all the other suggestions. Thank you.
I bought that little fan! It has also saved me many times here in Mexico. Bonus that you can charge your phone with it in a pinch and the little flashlight comes in handy.

Tip 7. I use this one all the time if I end up with an aisle seat. I have, on occasion, been asked to put it down by the flight attendants. During take off and landing it makes sense but, during the flight? Your grandma is correct! Try sitting on the pillow during the next flight. Most seats on West Jet, Air Canada and especially Alaska are quite worn out from people with bad posture. I find myself sliding forward into the divot left behind. The pillow trick seems to help. Also- keep in mind that an earlier traveller may have done the same and don't use it to prop up your face!
I’m one of those weirdos with a travel vest for all inflight essentials and valuables. Love not having to dig through my personal bag to get something I need. The vest holds an amazing amount of stuff and every little thing has its own pocket. When I get up for the restroom, everything I care about is with me.
Before my 2nd Service Dog passed, i flew back from Las Vegas w/ her & my newly trained Service Dog. If you can't imagine fitting in a plane bathroom w/ 1 49lb SD, imagine the Twister Game gymnastics I had to do w/ her & the 30lb newby Service Dog! It was...an ordeal to say the least.😱
As a former road warrior, I always bring a battery charger, 20,000 or 10,000 mAh. I also download a bunch of movies to my phone so I do not have to depend on the airplane infotainment system or broken USB ports. I also recommend a really nice pair of Bluetooth headphones with noise cancellation. Lastly, you can bring a metal vacuum sealed water bottle and fill it before the flight. It just needs to be empty when you go through TSA.
Former FA here. I would never drink the water on a plane unless it's bottled!
Advise to get up and use the bathroom every two hours for better circulation. Go to the bathroom when you start smelling food to avoid bathroom line after the meals.
I prepare several little packs that have a couple surface cleaning wipes, gloves, hand sanitizing wipes and a tiny trash bag. Im one of those crazy people that wipes everything down when I get on the plane.
When on long cross Pacific flights between YVR and MNL, my wife uses me/my shoulder as a pillow. So, instead of getting 2 aisle seats, I book an aisle seat in the middle between the 2 aisles. That way, whether it is a 3 or 4 seat row, I am her pillow, and she only has to get past me to go to the toilet. The person on the other side of her has their own aisle, or one person to go past, not two. That works well for us.
