I was chatting with a flight attendant how I used to enjoy seeing the cockpit mid flight as a kid. She spoke to the pilots and at the end of our flight they let me sit in the cockpit and take photos with the pilots. Thank you Hawaiian Airlines!

I had a terrible nosebleed on an airplane once and the flight attendants were so kind and helpful. I have really bad nosebleeds often, but they've always stopped on their own. They brought me lots of napkins and water and soda to help me clear the taste from my mouth. It was a short flight, but it was so kind

About the extra meal tip... I once really like the cake that came with the meal after the meal I politely asked the flight attendent if they had some extra cake and to my surprise she gave me 3 pieces of that cake... istg I was the happiest passenger on board that day .... Thank you jeenie ❤

I get really bad anxiety from flying. A few years ago, I was flying alone and I asked the flight attendant if she maybe had anything to help calm my anxiety. She politely apologised and said they only had paracetamol but then sat down on the plane floor next to me and held my hand until my anxiety went down. It helped me breathe and I remember her kind gesture til this day and probably will for the rest of my life ❤

When I was like 8, my dad and I were on a daddy-daughter flight together. When we were boarding, the captains acknowledged us and told us how cute it was that it was just us two. At the end of the flight, an attendant told us the captains wanted to see us at the front! When we went, they captain talked to us, gave me his hat and let me sit in the chair. It was awesome. Best memory with my dad

My first major flight and i had a panic attack and got so airsick, i couldn't move. The flight attendant Jin was absolutely AMAZING. He took my difficulties seriously instead of telling me to "take it like a man". He even sat beside me in the empty isle side seat and quietly sung an old Japanese lullaby is gramma used to sing to him.... As a grown man whose endlessly told "take it like a man" when im sick or have a panic attack, it was absolutely amazing to be treated like a human being!!

When I was 10 or 11, I once asked the flight attendant if I might be allowed to visit the pilots in the cockpit. This was pre-9/11, so everyone was super easy-going about this stuff. Not only was I allowed to visit the pilots, they had a spare seat for me where I was allowed to stay for over half an hour. I asked them about all the buttons and instruments and they explained everything to me very patiently. What I remember most about that experience is the view, though. We were flying from Spain back home to Switzerland. I happened to be in the cockpit when we were crossing the Alps. We were flying quite low and it was a clear, sunny day, so I could see an endless ocean of snow-capped mountains and magnificient glaciers pass below us. I will never forget this. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. After 30-40 minutes, the pilots told me, "Now please go back to your seat in the cabin and tell your little sister to come here." My sister was allowed to be in the cockpit during the landing which must've been really amazing, too. I doubt this would still be allowed today.

I just wish that I had enough confidence to even ask these things is all I ask😌 Edit:shoutout to all peoples that are shy, introverted, struggle with self-confidence or has anxiety, I wish you all the best, but also to whoever is reading this😉

I love the flight attendant from my last flight 😂 I asked about the card, but I must not have done a good job describing it so she needed to clarify. She asked "The ones the pilot usually gives to children?" She realized immediately what she said and tried to back pedal, but I was already cracking up! I did end up getting a card in the end~

I’m an airline captain in the US and it never gets old having passengers come up to the flight deck with questions or for a photo. Don’t be shy!!

A flight attendant gave us wing pins after my first flight in 8 years. I was crying the whole two hours quietly to myself from anxiety, but my husband never let go of my hand and soothed me the whole time. The flight attendant was so awed by his love for me, she gaves us pins. I really appreciate her ❤️

As an airline employee(not flight attendant) I can say all of this is true I never get anything but whole cans for myself or my family whenever we are on a flight…just ask nicely. Depends on how many stops the plane has between flights, they may have enough to give you a full can. They have way more drinks than you think they do. Not only Playing cards - ours are MINI ones, the airline I work for also has stick on wings(no longer pin on), fidget bubble poppers, phone holders/stands, stickers, airline related coloring books for kids, crowns(similar to the OG burger kind ones), greeting cards(birthday, anniversary, thank you, and “sorry about your loss” jic you’re traveling to/from a lost loved one.) If it’s your anniversary, you can request a FREE bottle of champagne. Just talk to the customer service people, gate agent and/or the flight crew. Our airline doesn’t serve full meals, just snacks, but you CAN ask nicely and they can give you more. Again, they have way more than you think they do. They also have not just the sodas and juice and water, but also tea bags for making tea, coffee, decaf, hot chocolate and freeze dried lime powder packets in case you want some lime with your tea, soda or your drink 🍸. And it sounds weird, but if you want a special request mixed drink they CAN make some if you ask nicely. Everyday for lunch at work I drink a can of ginger ale and a can of cranberry juice and 2 or 3 lime packs. Tastes like a mocktail, and in summer it’s quite refreshing if loaded with ice.

I saw a video of someone asking the Delta pilots for trading cards and it was so cool so last time we flew Delta a got brave and asked and omg not only do they have cool cards but the pilots were super nice! And very kind to humor a grown woman! I loved this

Something that I got without even asking: I was in economy, and at the time QANTAS (the airline I was using) had a thing where you can donate some money to UNICEF onboard. I donated about 5 dollars. Apparently, I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT DONATED. The flight attendant was so appreciative, that she even went up to BUSINESS CLASS (On that flight it was about $42000) and gave me a special QANTAS bag only BUSINESS CLASS FLYERS CAN GET. Now I like to always think that I got a handbag more expensive than one from Gucci for $5. Also guys I still have the handbag I have no use for it Edit: I should have already said this, but guys the $42k is AUD (AUSTRALIAN Dollars) and it was an international flight across the globe (Jacksonville to Sydney with connection at Dallas, but both flights had same ticket

I love that it is this way, I'm autistic and have been told almost my entire life that simply asking for those small things are just wasting people's time, but it's nice to know that flight attendants are this kind :3
