Honest question: are people still checking in at the airport? Check in online and skip it completely. Even if you have checked luggage, bag drop lines are typically much shorter than waiting to check in at the airport.
Good stuff. I learned something! I couple of things to add to your list: 1. Look up the best airports to make connecting flights. Detroit may not actually be a tourist destination, but the Delta Terminal there is the best in the US and it has TONS of international connections. The gate area there is literally a mile long, but you can get from any gate to any other gate in less than 10 minutes using the train. Plus there are plenty of good options to eat, shop or sit there. Even when busy, it has none of the congestion of other airports. 2. Re: Parking. Look up Uber/Lyft and compare to parking. There is a sweet spot in terms of 2 Uber/Lyft trips v. parking that depends on the number of days and the distance you are from the airport. Also offsite parking with a good shuttle bus is another alternative. If you are leaving San Diego, Little Little is only 1.5 miles from the airport. I parked a car there in a covered clean office building lot with large parking spaces for less than $10 day. Then took Lyft to get to the terminal. 3. Lounge access can often last for 24 hours. That means you can go into a lounge before you are taking off PLUS where you making your connection PLUS where you land. We landed and went into a lounge to eat at about 9pm... 15 minutes of time, but then we did not need to worry about a meal before going home in our car after a long trip. 4. Fly out of Toronto or Windsor CA or Tijuana MX. We have saved $400+ on a Europe flight by just driving across the border to Canada. In the case of Tijuana, you can literally park your car in the US, and then cross the border on foot and via a tunnel and go straight into the airport without ever getting to the actual city.
I wish people would just use a printed boarding pass or get one printed at the check in counter. Standing behind a line of people who's mobiles won't work on the reader at the gate is frustrating.

Really simple.....If you are sitting waiting for a flight, why wait in the main area with 3,000 other people... just go sit at a nearby gate where there is no departing flight. Similar with toilets... they are everywhere, just dont use the ones in the main public areas!

1:41 to all those that get searched/questioned by TSA don't worry if you know you're not doing anything wrong. Keep it cool, they're just doing their job i got searched and questioned by TSA just a few days ago because of my bluetooth speaker and a bunch of rechargable lithium batteries for a bunch of flashlights I was bringing for myself and to give away to relatives. I had about 13 lights I had both ends of all the removable batteries taped up so they don't discharge inside the ziploc bag and the lipo guard bag i kept them in to keep em safe. I did that to keep the lights from accidentally activating inside my bag in case the on buttons get pressed The agent asked why i had so many batteries and i told him the truth that I have a lot of flashlights and some headlamps with me He put my bags thru the xray again then told me I'm good to go 👍
Most of the stuff you talk about are true only for USA/NORTH AMERICA For example Turo isn't available in most of EU or most of the world considering it's available mainly in north America and Australia
Some airline specific lounges have customer service desks in the lounge - in case of something going wrong and if you’re in the lounge anyway, speak to them
We enjoy our Priority Pass; however not all airports offer nice lounges 😢

If you have time and you're strapped for cash, walk to a fast food restaurant or gas station near the airport or take their free shuttle to any hotel... then call for your Uber/Lyft. Sometimes those rideshares have additional fees for pickups at airports.
Yeah lounges being quiet places to relax is no longer the case thanks to everyone being able to access lounges. I have had the united lounge at Newark being more crowded than the terminal area below I could see from the lounge. Luckily lot of lounges are less accessible and have quiet work areas now.
