Great idea about the compression stockis! I'm flying in a couple weeks and I've had blood clots before. I didn't even think of it myself, im so glad you reminded me.

Bose? No, thank you. There are cheaper noise cancelling headphones. If they get stolen or break down, no worries.

The Bose Quiet Comfort II ARE AMAZING the ear pads and the head pads are replaceable when worn out (Amazon) the battery lasts over 20hrs plus it's got a aux cable.
