The frozen water bottle hack is one of the most common ones that I've heard in these forums, but what I've never heard anyone say is that it does not work everywhere, and you'll need to check the rules where you're travelling; for example, here in Canada, any frozen item that is normally a liquid at room temperature will be flagged unless it is covered by one of the exemptions listed on the CATSA website. The only reason they don’t like liquids is because you can put illegal substances such as drugs and makes it into the water. That’s why they only allow a certain amount of water. Or any liquid
