Went and spent some time in Aomori in Winter earlier this year and couldn't believe how much cheaper it was vs Tokyo. Had a massive room in a business hotel (by business hotel standards) with a city view for less than 1/3 of the price of Tokyo.
Mate I love your videos! You've got the perfect combination of good humour and good information for someone like myself who's looking to go to Japan for the first time soon. Thanks you 🙏🏻
Full day session at the Soapland... My brother! I love your humor so much

My first trip to Japan, I made sure to be budget but still spent money on the big stuff like A5 steak because I may never eat it again. I found a self check in hotel that's outside the city. Costs me roughly 650 at the TIME for 2 weeks. It was a "small" room but it had a toilet and show and a shared kitchen with another unit and fridge, that's all I needed because I'm not LIVING in Japan. I'm visiting and the only time I am in the "hotel" is to sleep and pile up the stuff I've bought. It's also a more residential area so almost no tourists that I ran into. Taking night walks was a vibe. This place I stayed at was next to a train station, took me roughly 20 minutes to get to Asakusa and 40 minutes and beyond to get to the downtown popular areas. I didn't mind the train ride because it was such a different experience vs American city trains where it basically is fight club sometimes. Really the biggest ticket item for my Japan trip was the plane ticket. Being stuck in the midwest, there really was no way I could get a ticket under $1000. It was 1500 round trip ANA. I'm sure there were "cheaper" options but this is ANA, they are pretty high in reviews but funny enough, had I went this year at this time, which is Nov 27 to dec 13. The ticket price for the same price was a couple hundred lower now and that kinda bothered me. We only took a taxi once and it was because my friend absolutely refused to walk from the Tokyo Metropolitan building to Kabukicho. He wanted american level convenience while I was there to take my time and soak in the vibes.
Perfect timing 👌
whats the best budget rail pass mate? we did the kansai pass and that was great value.....
why 1 day in the soap when all i need is 1 minute 👀 hahaha Just finished planning a 1 month trip to Japan and my god my wallet. Always forget its legal to drink outside and people watch
Again another great video with your unique delivery which I really enjoy. In all of your videos I've watched you mention terms/names like Konbini which roll of the tongue quite quickly. I'll have to review the transcripts as Im probably missing out on great info with these terms. Im planning a mid October holiday and will pay the extra to stay in the convenient locations to tick the boxes on things to see. I have reduced the itinerary to have time to see what I want comfortably and left time to just enjoy chilling in Japan and having a bit of of time in reserve for things I learn along the way. Next Im looking for your food expertise videos lol
Any video this channel has uploaded was absolute すごいand とてもamazing
Good vid, thanks for the advice! You’re a funny dude, I subbed and am excited to see more.
You look like Mr. Beast, nice video thanks for your straightforwardness!
8:46 at the konbini? What, are you like a かねもち??
It's always a balance between time, money, convenience! Find that sweet spot :) Do you have any advice on where to find hotels for good prices? Like if I book hotels in the UK, I expect the hotel booking conglomerate websites will take a large cut, is there a better way?
Naa you won't be on the streets tou will be a millionaire 🤣😂
