I know it's different, but I can't fly all the way to Japan and eat at Denny's...
As US driver, how difficult was driving in Japan renting a car??
I'm going either in 2026 or in 2028.
There's no comparison between a ryokan and a public bathhouse. Very different experience. Personally, if I have to scrimp and save so hard on food and entertainment in Japan, I'd rather stay home.
finally some actually good tips
My daughter really wanted to ride the Shinkansen round trip between Tokyo and Osaka until we realized that we could fly from Osaka direct to Narita for the equivalent of €60, far less than the return journey and pricey transfer to the airport. One Shinkansen ride is enough and we are happy.
great tips! all are true! gaijin living in Japan
