I’ve been a Flight Attendant for 33 years and always drink tea on the plane. Hasn’t killed me yet 🤣😂
"My husband makes all the decisions in the house" to get away from solicitors is so funny 😂
YOU JUST SAVED ME $920!!! THANK YOU!! I just listened to your episode about travel. I’m flying to Fort Lauderdale next Saturday, March 22 for the Live Like No One Else cruise. I heard George talking about Skyscanner and Rachel talking about how she checks Southwest several times a week for better deals. I did both of those and saved $920 on my plane tickets. Thank you very much for this information!!! Keep it up guys.
I am from the Philippines. What you guys are talking about mostly I can't use but you guys are so funny especially when Rachel is laughing at George's jokes. So funny
I'm with Rachel on the 6:00 AM flights to save a couple bucks. Never again!
Homeschooling is great for traveling. We did a 21 day cruise from New Orleans to Seattle. Surprisingly there were some other kids from Australia and Canada so our kids had friends on the trip. They learned all the cultures and geography. It was great.
The Vera Bradley Duffel…..talk about nostalgia. It’s LITERALLY the best carry on compliant bag though. A staple in every millennial woman’s travel kit lol
My husband and I got into the Delta One lounge in LAX on a whim while flying to New Zealand for our Honeymoon. The guy at the door was so so sweet to comp us, as we didn't have a Delta One ticket. I've been in one or two lounges from other airlines when traveling with other people, but Delta One was something else. Free food and drinks, as much as you want, massage chairs, dim lighting to ease your flight headaches, shower rooms, hot towels, it was crazy, and so so needed between a 5 hour and a 13 hour flight. Not likely to experience that again for many many years though, because who can afford a Delta One ticket?
I play Trad wife every time there's a utility sales person in a store! 😂 I take care of paying all the bills and take the lead on managing the money, and I will claim ignorance every time, and they leave me alone immediately.
Continue to support Southwest Airlines when you can. They often discount or give free flights to veterans who are going on Honor Flights.
The best travel hack I’ve found is the responsible use of travel credit cards/systems. You can get hundreds if not thousands of dollars’ worth of free flights, hotel stays, upgrades, lounge access, etc. by using credit cards for your normal spending. All it takes is following the financial principles that the Ramsey team promotes - budgeting, living within your means, and paying your bills so you don’t carry a balance.
Yall need to do an episode on "How Gen Z is doomed to own nothing, but pay forever." Meaning the immense amount of subscriptions we have nowdays. Just watched a video from Ashley Embers with that name that was very eye opening.
Before the morning flight, I made and drank coffee at home, and packed sandwiches and small snack for myself and my husband, sealed in a Ziploc bag.
You can't snatch my travel card out of my cold, dead hands, but I pay my cards off every month and have 0 debt. Lounges can vary, yes, but I've been to spectacular ones. Global entry is covered, I get Lyft credits, grocery credits. I put everything on my credit card (as in things I've already budgeted), so it accrues thousands of dollars worth of points. It saves me so much money on travel. I'm in Nashville and the Delta lounge is amazing. My husband flew out today and they had a lemonade bar along with the other offerings (sandwiches, soup, wings, dessert, coffee, alcoholic beverages etc)
Travel can be a reward instead of an entitlement or 'deserved' thing. I traveled for years on credit. Then I spent many more years paying for it financially and emotionally. It's not delayed gratification - it's a reward for being prepared financially. It feels so much better than the years I used my credit card and faced the reality of debt.
The intro conversation was exactly my two daughters. One is George=Anxious traveler. The other is Rachel= casual traveler. lol. Keep this podcast up!
George is so unexpectedly funny! I literally laugh out loud
I love Vera Bradley
George explaining his subway experience is so New York 😂 very funny
Tip if they try to make you leave an item. Look for a locker and get it on the way back
