by form at the end of the season Seattle was the worst team in the league. in their last 16 games they won 3... The Canucks meanwhile won 3 of their last 4 and the Rangers ended only 2p behind Seattle. Even ignoring that, Seattle ended 1p ahead of Toronto so add in a new coach and McKenna and youre already ahead of them.

You aren't biased. The Kraken won't even make the playoffs for another 15-20 years. It's the tradeoff we get for the Mariners *and* Seahawks being competitive, and for being a close as we are to getting the Sonics back. (Plus the Kraken are being managed about as bad as the Mariners of the late 2000s-early 2010s.)
