Paris is a world-class city — but also one that to millions is simply home. On this adventure, we're going local. We start at the city's proud symbol, the Eiffel Tower, then cruise the Seine before exploring a few distinctive neighborhoods. We visit the market for fresh food and flowers, window-shop along trendy streets, and cap our tour with a nighttime ride through the sparkling City of Light. #ricksteves #ricksteveseurope #paris *Check out Rick Steves’ Europe travel resources:* • “Rick Steves’ Europe” public television series: https://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/video/tv-show • “Travel with Rick Steves” public radio program: https://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/audio/radio • European tours: https://www.ricksteves.com/tours • Guidebooks: https://store.ricksteves.com/shop/guidebooks • Travel gear: https://store.ricksteves.com/shop/ • Travel classes: https://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/video/travel-talks • Rick Steves Audio Europe app: https://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/audio/audio-europe Rick Steves, America's most respected authority on European travel, writes European travel guidebooks, and hosts travel shows on public television and public radio.

So good to see you back, Rick. Fully recovered, happy, and doing all the best of once again.
Bonjour Rick - Bravo, I love this piece! I would love it even more if you were to dig a little deeper to let folks know about the years of hard work that the City has devoted to making this Paris of the Parisians. Lets talk about how and why the Seine riverbank is a place where Parisians go to dance instead of drive! Dating from the awful European heat wave of 2003, in which tens of thousands of people died, the Ville de Paris has worked incredibly hard to move cars out of the city and move in trees, greenspace and "soft mobility" (esp bikes and pedestrians--and yes, dancers and beachgoers). Air quality is vastly improved, human health is improved, and as this piece shows, the quality of life is the best anywhere. I hope that visitors to Paris can look beyond the historic sights to understand Paris as a model for modern sustainable development from which they can import Parisian savoir faire to their own cities--wherever in the world they live!
Yay! New Rick Steves content!
The invention of radio transmission saved the Eiffel Tower when engineers realized it was a big antenna already paid for.
Rick, the "OG" of European travel on tv.
We watched Rick Steves in my college Italian class my freshman year in 1992. This guy doesnt age.
All these years later and still good 😌such a joy
My wife and I been to Paris 8 or 9 times. We try to go every year because Paris is so magical. We never get tired of it❤
Mr. Rick, you ARE a National or should I say a Global treasure to our world! Thank you.🙏✌🏻❤
You are great Rick Steves sir 😊
We love you for your show, Rick, AND for your good and generous heart. Peace, brother.
The real charm of Paris often seems to live between the landmarks - in the neighborhoods, markets, and ordinary moments.
Rick Steves in Paris? I could not be luckier.
I bought his Paris book for my first trip to Europe and to Paris in 2005. While there, I ran into Rick and got an autograph ! I have since moved to Paris, am raising kids here and gained French citizenship ! This video is exactly as how I saw his video's on PBS. It brings back memories of dreaming of visiting Europe.
I have been a fan of Rick Steves’s Europe on PBS for almost 40 years. Having been to Paris many times and seen many videos on the city, this by far is the best documentary I have ever seen on Paris as it captures it all in 25 min! Excellent!
Perfect timing for this video to appear. Going back to Paris in a few weeks and this ideally sets the mood. My two cents is to take an evening cruise on the Seine and see the Eiffel Tower as you pass from this vantage point.
I never get enough of Paris either.
Rick Steves has the ultimate dream job.
We just came back from Paris and we still cannot move on from our vacation ❤❤❤Paris is so beautiful 😊
HECK YEAH! Rick uploaded a new episode!!!
