I am a video editor from past 10 years and been following you from past 2-3 years. Here i would like to applaud for editing part. Despite of shooting by multiple cameras and angles 58 mins went smooth like butter. No unnecessary jump cuts which break your viewing experience. From a distance it looks so simple editing but there are so many smart nd hidden cuts done smoothly, managed b-rolls so well.. i mean i can go on nd on from a technical perspective. Not just this video but your all long format videos. Kudos to editing team. Well done 👏🏼 and specially to you downie for entertaining us and showing us the world. Every editor who has just started should have watched your every videos to learn such simple but effective stuff. Love from India 🇮🇳😊

Fun fact, the 1st locomotive, 240.129 is a 240 class "laminatka", Czechoslovak design. Laminatka, because the cab is made from laminate (plastic?) It was succeeded by the 242 class Plechac (tin can) , 240 and 242 class locomotives are still common in SK, HU, SRB, Bulgaria etc. (In Bulgaria they run by numbers 044, 045) The Laminatka has max speed of 120km/h, but they usually don't go faster than 100km/h. The second one, the diesel is class 740 owned by Hungarian sub. of PKP Cargo (Polish railways ) called PKP Cargo International. Class 740, called "Kocúr" (tomcat) has VMAX of 70km/h, and originally constructed for heavy shunting service. There was the 742 class, vmax 90km/h. And as the 240/242 electric locomotives, the 740/742 are pretty common too.

Another first for me. I've been on more firsts with you in my 70s than at any other time in my life. Next month I'm 80 and I don't know how many more firsts are left for this life and I don't know where you're going next, but I know I'm going with you as long as God allows me to stay here. Seeing the smile of a 7-year-old on your face is going to melt every European mother's and grandmother's heart (some grandpa's, too). Being a train engine driver or transportation engineer used to be the dream job of every European boy for a long time.

Well, looks like Bosnia & Herzegovina is now on my travel bucket list💁‍♀️

Pécs is a beautiful city. Its famous for the Zsolnoy ceramics factory (est. 1853)- hence the ceramic roof tiles and fountain. Oh, and its pronounced more like "pay-ch" (not "page"). The "cs" in hungarian has a "ch" sound (my wife is hungarian-canadian, & I was there last summer, thats the only reason I know). Great video!

I am from Balkan and i had a friend in 7th grade who was an ABBSOLUTE geek AND a nerd for trains, he would spend all his time studying the trains and participating in forums that had few dozen members, only to talk about trains. The summer between 7th and 8th grade, he first swore me to not tell anyone and then told me a story... He contacted his "friends" from forums, who then invited him to come and take a short tours that last one day, but it was very soon clear to them he knows ABSOLUTELY everything about operating the train, reading signs, signaling, even filling the papers before and after the ride. He was clearly very intelligent and responsible, reminding them of stuff they even forgot at times, and very soon they built the confidence to let him "take the wheel". After few times of letting him do all the work, they just used him as their chauffeur and even TOOK NAPS while a 13 yo boy was driving massive transport compositions. He used to bore me to death with trains and intricate details, as i was his best friend, but now that i reflect, i am sad that i didnt pay more attention and shown more enthusiasm, it wouldve been fun riding all around the country with funny old men in a locomotive whole summer.
