Craziest thing I have seen
It's very important to brush your teeth, wash your face ,hands etc before going to sleep after your dinner, which usually consists of meat. .Animals can smell long way away. I was camping in Namibia when 10 year old German boy was taken from his tent by a lion and killed. There were about 40 Germans in the camp on a tour, but that didn't stop the lions snooping around. It was an awful experience and my sister who came to visit me from Europe was very traumatised.
You might be the first cyclist to pedal through Chobe National Park ! Hahaha, lucky you were not eaten by the Lions, the level of danger you were in was extremely high. Safe travels onwards!!

This was utter madness, your so lucky u were downwind of that male elephant. And camping in a park like that is so crazy, the den was an ardwark burrow btw probably now used by a wart hog, hyena s tend to use termite mounts as dens.
