Traveling TANZANIA solo is difficult | Bagamoyo

tanzania is oe of the easiest countries to travel in africa, if you think tanzania is bad, lol, definitely dont goto mozambique or malawai or zimbabwe burundi or west africa. tanzania , rwanda and kenya are very easy to travel and quite a relief after traveling the southern african countries for the past 7 months all on public buses.

Everyone has there experience don't make One person experience to not visit the place.

Unfortunately, They talked nothing about u! The guy was talking about selling something!!

Traveling solo is definitely intimidating but its so liberating. I went on my first solo trip to Seattle a few weeks ago and it was one of the best experiences despite being so anxious!!

The touts in Tanzania can be extremely annoying. Probably the most annoying I've experienced. Once in Stonetown we had to walk over a kilometer to shake off a persistent tout who wanted to "help" us with whatever we where buying. In Arusha, then being just me alone, I was surrounded by a small crowd of them on arrival in the bus station that I had to get away from somehow. Beside this, Tanzania is a fantastic country in many ways!

I have found a lot of discrimination and abuse directed at women traveling solo. If I had a guy with me, I wouldn't have had the shitty things that happened to me "happen" . . . namely Italy. I'll *never* go back to Italy. I had no problems with misogyny in England, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina (a little bit in the south; namely Trebinje), Croatia, Serbia or now, Albania. 😉

Firstly this is a bias review, you are talking as if where you are coming from you don't have issues. No country is perfect, if you country was perfect i don't think you'll have police right? Aren't they burglars in the US? Shame on you

Bought tickets to Dar es Salaam. Will backpacking for several weeks. Have no idea what to expect, a little scared too. I wanted to go somewhere tropical, but off the beaten track. So will be marathoning your vids.

It would be better to have a guide and take sometime to learn about local people cultures and Traditions, instead of travelling blindly to a place. Yikes. I’m not sure I’d ever go there intentionally. There are so many other places in the world to see. But I know you’ve seen a lot of it. Still, I fear for you when you are so vulnerable, so far away.

There are pushy people in every single corner of the globe. Good, and bad people are everywhere, luckily there are usually more good than bad people wherever you go.

Tanzania is very safe, I think your being overreactive. He was trying to have a conversation with you probably to practice his English or ask for money. Just say "Hapana asante" and you will be fine (No, thank you).
