From vast deserts to snowy mountaintops, dense jungles to endless salt flats, sparkling waters and pristine beaches along the Indian Ocean, and much, much more. This solo backpacking journey through East Africa and Southern Africa took me to ten countries: Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. Each destination was wildly different from the previous, with its own bucket list attractions and unique cultural activities. Nothing can prepare you for Africa's sheer diversity of breathtaking landscapes, countless wildlife encounters, and bucket list experiences that you won't find anywhere else in the world.
