I finally did the famous Bloukrans Bungy Jump in the Eastern Cape, and what an exhilarating experience 🙌🏼🙌🏼 A few fascinating facts about it that made the experience even more surreal: • The Bloukrans Bungy is officially the highest commercial bridge bungy jump in the world at 216 metres (709 feet). • You free fall for about 7 seconds before the cord fully stretches I LOOOOOVED IT! • The bridge itself was completed in 1983 and stretches across the breathtaking Bloukrans River Gorge on South Africa’s iconic Garden Route. • Before the jump, you zip line underneath part of the bridge which is exciting because you can see into the gorge below. Standing there reminded me how small we are in comparison to the world🥺, yet how powerful we become when we choose courage anyway 💪🏼.
