I wouldve set it up there other way around - so the chefs are standing with their backs to the wall, with about 4 =5 feet of space between the wall and the grills. I'm very interested in updates on how this is holding up!
After 8 months at church, how is the unit holding up?
After owning this complete kitchen cabinet set in addition to a Silverbac and Primate for 3 years, we warranty replaced 3 of the cabinets due to most of the leg welds breaking off on 2 of the cabinets, and the countertop lip on one of them developing a crack, and eventually falling. Grilla replaced both cabinets and the counter top no questions asked. Great service. Our set has lived under a covered pergola since we got it, but I'd HIGHLY recommend getting Grilla's new modular covers or covering with a tarp for inclement weather. I will say, I wish the drawers were magnetic or sealed when shut so that they'd stay closed and water tight. We have one drawer open slightly a few times on its own and it led to moisture and rain getting in and corroding the inside of the drawer. Looks like a type of galvanic corrosion due to the different metal cooking tools laying on top of the inside of the drawer without a liner combined with moisture. So invest in drawer liners as well. Other than those compaints, we've loved our setup and it was a great price/value compared to committing to a full built-in kitchen.
David thank you for all of your videos! I just bought the primate built in with a corner and side cabinet after watching your videos. From your experience, do the doors on the primate built in open/close smoothly or do the doors rub on the top middle where the screws are? No matter how level I get it when the grill has the griddle and burner covers etc, the doors get hung up when opening/closing and the tops are pretty scuffed from the screws. Trying to make sure I didn’t install anything incorrectly. Thanks again and God bless!
The best part of this video is that he donates 100% of the revenue from this video to the church.
Great video. After a lot of shopping, I am leaning towards buying a built in Silverbac 2.0 XL for my future outdoor kitchen. It’s really more space than I need but love the look and there is 50% off deal right now. Wondering if you have encountered any issues with the xl since you have been cooking on it at your church? Would appreciate any feedback thank you.
Where did y'all run the sewage from the sink?
Man keeping all that stainless print free seems like a challange.
I love this video. The system seems pretty simple. I want a smoker, charcoal grill, flat top, and woodfire pizza oven, fridge or cooler, and some counter space. I also want it covered, but ventilated because we are in the south.
I just need refrig counter, cabinet with drawer, and place for egg
Very nice setup! Your video on the best griddles is what inspired me to look at the Primate in the first place. Love the 2/3 griddle option! Once that decision was made going with a (mostly) Grilla stainless kitchen just made sense from that point. I also agree with getting cabinets to give you space for trays and prep space and I'm so glad I went that way as well. I went with a Thor Kitchen stainless sink setup since the sink was larger than Grilla's and being stainless it and my Reqtec RT-1170 stainless smoker fit right in.
Thanks a lot for the video 🙏 I’m looking for a built-in charcoal grill made from stainless steel, safe for use with a wall directly behind my table. Any recommendations?
Is this covered by any roof or completely exposed, if the latter, is there a future plan to cover it?
Are there corner pieces available for this modular outdoor kitchen?
Rule #1 to building an affordable outdoor kitchen is to not use built in outdoor kitchen components. You can buy restaurant quality workstations for less than this Grilla stuff. You can get an outdoor sink for a could hundred bucks. And, of course, there are lots of outdoor cooking appliances that are way cheaper than Grilla and still good quality.
Great video, but I would never choose these products. They rust horribly. My bottom drawers have rusted completely through. One has even completely disintegrated. If anyone chooses these products, I would continuously coat them with some waterproofing product--like at least on a quarterly basis.
c'est beau ce vous faites pour la génération suivante et pour la communauté
Hello, off topic in regards to this video, but I just watched your video on the PitBoss barrel smoker (5 years ago). In that video u stated u were gonna do a video on “charcoal and a chart” showing how different brands burnet, since the coal was gonna continually be lighting during the cook. I wasn’t able to find that follow up video when I go back to your videos 5 years ago. Would u be able to point me in the right direction to locate it, if u did get around to making it? Sorry I’m so late, but the barrel cooker is just recently a new purchase for me. Thank you!!
I watched as the young man opened and closed doors. It seems as if the cabinetry is somewhat flimsy. Can you comment on the "quality" of the cabinets, maybe a better word is "sturdiness"? Also, are the doors and cabinets sealed in any way or if left outdoors will water easily enter the cabinets (thinking of any goods stored in boxes, etc. that may get waterlogged. Thanks for all your reviews, they're really helpful.
What a blessing for the church! Thanks for a great video. Can’t wait to see more. I’ll be doing a full outdoor kitchen at our new house in about 6 months. It will be my second full build. The ease of construction with this and the stainless is appealing. One question- we have significant wasp issues here in Oklahoma, how well sealed are the cabinets to help with that? Thanks again!
