Falling over on the bike is never fun, especially when it weighs an easy 200 kilo's! In this moment, I was glad to be in a place where lots of other motorcyclists often ride. I don’t even want to imagine having to lift it on my own... 😬
swiss rider here, in these thight corners in the mountains, youll always find drivers of all vehicles that are very much overwhelmed. especially when people like this woman have to follow others(her husband) that put extra pressure on her, it can happen that they take corners wrong bec of stress and then they just freeze up. as a last ditch effort not to fall. if you sit right in the back of sombody you have to anticipate that. happend to me in exactly such a corner on my way up. i was not patient and the guy in front stopped out of nowhere bec he thought the incomming car wouldnt fit beside him. so i almost dropped my 1290 super adventure out of my own impatience... always look out for yourself and ride safe!
Dear Nancy, this experience is part of our hobby, and, if I may say this, better it's happening early the first time, the better it is. I'm glad you are ok and also the bike. You'll drive further on with a better view for all things around and in front of you. In other words: this sharpens your senses. And I have to say this - it will not be the last time. I lived in Switzerland for 9 years and I have ridden many moutain passes .I am from the the UK and did my bike test there 36 years ago, not easy to ride mountain passes when your home country is so flat , its such a change.Dropping your bike doesnt matter as long as you are ok. For such a new rider you are doing great All the best and have a safe ride . 😁
Always follow at a distance wide enough to stop. You held the wrong side of the handlebar when you were lifting the bike

A fall like this can happen to anyone, no one is immune, and it's happened to me, too. But cyclists have never overtaken me.😉
My own tipping was even less honourable - I managed it from a stand still with no one around to influence me... Someone once told me it is just a matter of when, not if, you tip your bike. Great that it all went well - and the best thing is that you can keep riding with nothing hurt or damaged. Thank you for sharing the bad bits as well. Best of luck going on!
Don’t follow other vehicles closely on difficult roads. Earlier in the video you were much too close to the Land Rover as well. Hopefully you will have learned from that incident.
accidents happen and this was absolutely not your fault! I'm glad to see she owns up to her mistake too!.. little tip for picking your bike up. I see you grabbed your top part (by the brake) next time try to grab the lower one and steer it inwards. this will prevent the bike from moving away too and makes your bike smaller and easier to walk back into. Really happy to see you're okay!

Which is why I went to three wheels. Dumping a motorcycle is a big fear of mine and something I do not have to worry about anymore. Great video.
