while pulling up your bike you should take the left handlebar, not the right one. When the bike is up you have to reach over the bike to hold the right handle bar. that is far more difficult.

It is not if we fall but when we fall. I had the same lesson, not enough space to the one in front of me….and boom. Stay safe and Enjoy.

In the mountains, always keep distance. Specialy in switchbacks you never know what people do. I always leave so much space that they are around the bend before I enter it. Also with cars on mountainroads, they are wider than us and they stop where we don‘t have to. Keep your distance!!!!!!

Wszystko fajnie. Mała uwaga : stanie na środku drogi na zakręcie ,żeby dograć filmik to kolejne zagrożenie. Warto zjechać do pobocza . Wtedy jest bezpieczniej. Pozdrawiam

Dear Nancy imagine doing this every week end you got a moment for it (i am 50 now and i started at 13 with a 50cc 😉). Everybody learns the hard way, glad you learnt without complicated consequences. Another time you should take not a weekend day and come up when you can actually ride faster then a bycicle 3:27🤭. Stelvio is a beast of its own, but if you are able to ride safely and confident here (or on another road in southern Lombardia that we call the "University of Bikers" 156 turns in approx 24 km! no kidding) you will be able to drive safer and a bit more adrenaline driven everywhere. Sincere Greetings from Tre Palle (the other mountain Pass that connects Stelvio road to Livigno), Dorsoduro rider (but old Fart!) former MP Motopatrol instructor. Cheers!!

The other woman motorcyclist was very lucky it wasn't a car behind her when she stopped like that. I'm glad that you're ok.😊

I was a biker for over fifty years Nancy. Everyone drops their bike at some time. Luckily you ( and your bike) are good. I subscribed because I love your relaxed presentation. Safe riding young lady.

I went over on my fully loaded BMW R1250RS. Broken mirror and damaged casing. Got back to the UK and replaced the mirror and fitted the Wunderlich Extreme head covers. Bike looks brand new again.

On these roads usually I stay farer, I don't want never stop in the middle of the corner, yes before or after but never in the middle. In this case the bike mathematically will drop down. Nice you are ok

The lady in front shouldn’t have stopped mid road but cars do it too, however you should have seen her had your looked round and distance would have been you’re saviour. Haven’t said that, shit happens and we’ve all made mistakes, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Glad you and the bike are ok.
