Today was supposed to be straightforward... beat the rain and get the hay and silage made. Instead, it turned into one problem after another. We collected a neighbour's mower, only to discover it needed repairs before it could even start work. Then it was off to collect the tedder... which also needed fixing! Just when we thought we were making progress, the old Ford started overheating with water boiling everywhere. For a few moments I genuinely thought I'd destroyed the engine. As if that wasn't enough, Tommo arrived with another challenge. We needed to build an adapter so his yard scraper could fit the front loader before racing against the weather to get everything finished.
