Koh Samet is my No.1 secret island for Nomad Low foreign tourists Low of cost of living (similar to Bangkok) Low traffic here (Slow life, no rush) This island has the nick name : The Island of Lost Virginity. (The vibe here makes couples want to make love. 😏) p.s. Koh Samet is one of the top getaway destinations for local Thai people because it’s very close to Bangkok, yet much more peaceful and less chaotic than Pattaya. The prices here are also quite reasonable — not overly expensive like some other famous islands. There’s even a 7-Eleven on the island, and the prices are almost the same as on the mainland.

Lived in Samui for 1 year. That was enough. It's not a place you wanna be long term. Your recommendations are not for long term. You can't possibly determine a place in just 4 weeks of being there.
