I went to check out the Rain Rave Water Festival in Bukit Bintang to see what it was actually like on the ground. This event has had a lot of mixed reactions online, so instead of just watching from the outside, I wanted to go experience it for myself and share what I saw. β SUPPORT WHAT IβM BUILDING IN MALAYSIA https://buymeacoffee.com/romanzakirb The event itself was done really well. The setup looked great, the lights were solid and the crowd had a really good energy throughout the night. There was a mix of local and international acts which made it feel pretty lively. At the same time, I can see why some people had an issue with it and why there was some backlash from locals - I get where theyβre coming from. But I can also see how something like this is good for tourism - it brings attention, gets people talking and gives people another reason to come check out Malaysia. For me personally, itβs just not really my kind of music or scene - but that doesnβt take away from the fact that a lot of people there were having a great time. This video is simply my experience of being there and showing what it was like. β¨ If youβre enjoying these videos, feel free to subscribe Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel - I truly appreciate it π If youβd like to support the channel and help me keep building this in Malaysia, you can here: β Buy Me A Coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/romanzakirb If something in these videos resonates with you, or youβve been going through your own journey and want to talk it throughβ¦ π¬ Chat With Me (1:1): https://calendly.com/romanzakirov86/chat-with-me Social Media πΈ Instagram β https://www.instagram.com/romantravels_ π₯ TikTok β https://www.tiktok.com/@romantravels Join me on Instagram and TikTok for Daily Clips and Travel Moments πβ¨ CHAPTERS 0:00 - Intro 1:03 - First Look Around (Daytime) 2:36 - Exploring the Festival 5:37 - Other Side of the Stage & Markets 7:16 - Final Thoughts #malaysia #Travel #explore #vlog #Aussie #southeastasia #expatlife #lifeabroad #digitalnomad

malaysia is one of the richest, most diversified culture in Asia and some people just want to ruin by bringing in different culture that doesn't represent this beautiful country. this nonsense were brought up by a political party which has communism root history. moral degradation is one thing, being loud is against what we were once before - low profile. there are 200+/- ethnic group in malaysia, each with different culture and beliefs and rain rave water festival is not one of them. of course, speak to them about this they will have 1001 justification in the name of 'modernization' which is completely utter bs.
RAIN RAVE FEST COOL π₯π₯π₯
this is not our culture... our tourist minister so stupid...
It's controversial because people believe that they wanna imitate Thailand annual festival (songkran). Which is their religion ceremony. For me personally Malaysia government should promote citizen not to waste precious resources especially water.
Friend stall at there, per night said 10k profit and smiling. .. I donβt know is this correct.

Minister Tiong King Sing of PDP party is a great minister! Cool π₯π₯π₯
Even if they want to throw party rave like this, the gov should at least bring out and do fair presenting the country's culture first. People's protesting the party due to unfair and eliminate some of the local's culture and religion in the tourism campaign presentation in the past. Especially Islam culture. Do we want those low quality tourists to come just because of party held like this? Just an opinion
This is not the right way to promote Malaysia
In the other point of view, take it as Labor Day for locals who like it to relax themselves . Some people say this event does not represent our culture, but there are still a lot of local with their families (elderly and their child) enjoying the moment and even bonding,to feel young again dancing in the event. Another point of view, this has also make the city feel alive. So those who discriminated, is just part of their opinion. There are still locals people who enjoying it. Dancing and listening the music without alcohol, is good activities for exercise.at least itβs better than get drunk in bar and do more stupid things. Also itβs a better choice for those youngsters who went out to mat rampit to risk their own lives on the road π Everyone had their own choice and opinions. Thereβs no right or wrong, but donβt humiliate others, we are all Malaysian and be respectful to others race, choice of life and preferences too
Malaysia looking alot like Israel now π π ππ
