There needs to be greater integration between the Jamaican Indians, and those of (Trinidad, Guyana & Suriname)......where the indian population is larger, and more culturally vibrant, Jamaica have lost alot of its Indian heritage and culture over the last century, however it can easily be re-established and rekindled because we are all Caribbean people.....things like(Phagwa, Divali, Hindu Temples, Ram Leela, Hanuman Jayanti, Shivaratri , Chutney music etc ) need to become more mainstream and re-introduced to the Jamaican people....In coming years, as the Indian population becomes economically stronger in larger in Jamaica, I believe Divali would become national holidays like it already is in Trinidad and Guyana.
