Hey bud, It's your old English teacher Mr. Cook. I just stumbled upon this on my recommended and was like "Hey it's Chay!" Glad to see you're doing well. Excited to catch up on what you've been doing.

Please do more of these kinds of content. It's very therapeutic for some reason.

I used to drive this car for work, but I admire you for driving 1000 miles on it. Just watching it makes my back hurt again. Hello from Japan🇯🇵 I'm using Google Translate.

Canadian here. Our border guards tend to be pretty cool, but they’re also super smart and good at their jobs too. I enjoyed watching that interaction.

As someone who drives from the U.K. to Europe via France under the tunnel without batting an eyelid, it’s so heartwarming to watch some get a genuine thrill entering another country the way you did.

As a Canadian, I found it extremely amusing how giddy you were about metric signs 😂

"WE'RE IN CANADA! IT SAYS KILOMETERS! I CAN FINALLY KNOW WHAT THIS GAUGE MEANS!" lmao, that kind of enthusiasm is genuinely infectious <3

Here's one useful tip: If you're going up hills, turn the AC off for a small performance boost because the AC puts extra load on the engine. Turning it off will help the engine run more efficiently and maintain speed. Anyways, these Japanese vans are not only hilariously cute and funny, but also really reliable in the city. They're fuel-efficient and compact for families and work use. My dad owns a 660cc Mazda scrum for our family business, and it goes around 100 km/h on the highway with no issues. The only issue is that the passenger seat tends to heat up since the engine is below it. From what I've heard, these vans were built to support those who live in farmlands, small towns and mountainous areas of Japan.

As a Japanese, I am so glad to know that you are traveling with Japanese mini van! I also traveled with similar mini van camping car for 10 days and it was very comfortable!!

I drive this same type of truck in Japan. I sympathize with the fact that the engine is weak and the power drops considerably when the air conditioner is turned on. Driving long distances is more tiring than with larger vehicles, but I love this vehicle, which is like a secret base. I hope to see more of this car in the future. (From a Japanese viewer)

For shower cover, you could make a curtain that hangs from hooks on all four corners of the raised trunk door that can be detached while driving. The bottom corners of the curtain could even have stakes that can go into the ground to make it wind resistant.
