I load my kids up with library books, their yotos, headphones, and a coloring/activity book. We also got some road trip bingos from the dollar spot a few years ago. I've found that if they're too entertained, they won't nap. We talk a lot too. Ive done more stuff in the past and they get overwhelmed or just ignore most of it.

Idea! My parents used to do the same but did not gave it all at once. They gave us something new every few hours so to keep us entertained. Getting everything at once often makes them try everything and then get ‘bored’. Making it a new suprise every time gives them an idea of a new toy every few hours.

Gosh…. We took an 18 hr drive w our (then) 5 and 2 year old. Gave them a granola bar and juice box and the rest made up along the way 😂

Hear me out! Print out a map of the US and give them a pencil to color in the states when they see them on a license plate! That was my favorite road trip game as a kid and it really helped with learning my states!
