By including this context, the overlaid commentary, criticism, and analysis is able to serve the public's interest regarding issues such as slavery, civil rights, forms of governance, and civil disobedience including flag burning, among others. Pairing the appropriate context with the included commentary allows the video to: (i) educate viewers about historical events in a manner that is often omitted from American educational curriculums, and explores the dangers, reasons, and solutions regarding such omissions; and (ii) to generally document newsworthy events and matters of public interest. To the greatest extent possible, the included commentary is intended to: (a) accurately identify the involved parties; (b) describe the subject matter in detail; and (c) better inform viewers about important historical events. #MattWalsh #TheMattWalshShow #DailyWire #RealHistory #Slavery

They need to show this in every inner city school
This is an excellent emotionally detached pure details focused deep dive I'm also happy you started with the statistics of how many slaves went where in the overall grand scheme I myself thought it was a higher percentage
Wow, I had no idea. My conception of American slavery itself didn’t really change from this, but this completely changed my understanding of slavery on a global level.
The great myth is that Africans were "kidnapped" or "stolen" from their villages and placed on ships headed to America. Perhaps in a small amount of cases but to have transported millions meant the only way that could have happened was with the complete compliance of their tribal Chiefs. If you think of the logistics of sailing a ship and anchoring it in a harbor, then having groups of sailors rowing to shore, then capturing and bringing back prisoners in rowboats to the ship, gathering enough of them to make it profitable without getting most of the crew killed-it just doesn't add up. If the tribal Chiefs weren't willing, they could have easily launched an attack on the sailors as they came ashore.
One of the smallest amount of slaves when to North America most from the slave trade went to Cuba, South America and Muslin countries
I am a Slovak (from Slovakia). Our history is Slavic. As kids we were taught in school that Turkish Muslims would often invade our land in the past. They would take thousands of children and especially boys only to make them slaves or soldiers who later returned and fought against their own Slavic people only to enslave more of them.
Very impressive how you edited this down to a fairly short, digestable presentation without losing legit context.
The ppl that really need to watch this video won't ever watch it, but it was a good idea.
Excellent présentation !
School did teach me about them. They said to escape these people villages would dissappear like smoke. Which means they would pack everything up, set fire to their own village, then flee into the hills.
The dude that sold his wife for being annoying was totally based. hahaha
Thank you for setting the record straight! This must be taught in ALL schools!
Slavery is a world wide sin against humanity. 😢
I'm a teacher. I teach this. Depending on which teacher you get you get very different takes on the material. I teach the "race" material at three grade levels, 7th, 9th, and 10th. I make sure my students get a complex view.
Learned more in 45 minutes than weeks of school lectures as a kid.
I’m saving this to show my son when he gets to that level in school.
Hasn’t anyone read the history of Joseph being sold into slavery by his brothers? Long before the United States was founded
Outstanding research and presentation!
Great job Matt👍🏽
Excellent work, Matt. I listened to this with my 14 year old. He loves geography and history, so this was incredibly enlightening
