I attended Nasra School in Saddar from 1968 to 1976, where I was lucky to learn alongside Parsis, Hindus, Christians, and even three Jewish students. Karachi was very different from what we see now, every community was living in harmony. The Christmas and New year were felt by everyone, the sale also use to pickup during these festivals, we mixed with everyone, it was a city of trees like Neem, peepal, jamun, jangle jalabi and many others, the people were simple and accommodating, because of christians and Jewish teachers the standard of education was high, we all lived as Pakistanis. In a single sentence as a old karachiite I may sum up in this way " Now I am a stranger in my own city" where I was born educated and lived, for me Karachi is gone in the same way as the title of an old English movie, _Gone with the wind_ .

I would also suggest that Mudasir Nazir consider making a similar documentary about Sindhi Hindus who greatly contributed to Sindh and Pakistan, especially in Karachi and other areas. Many of them migrated to India and other countries over time, but their contributions, heritage and memories remain deeply connected to this land. Highlighting such stories will further promote peace, understanding, and appreciation for the communities that once shaped our shared history.

You can't take out Karachi from the heart of Karachi born person, and that's I observed, I can feel how much Jews from Karachi missing their birth place and childhood memories. You can take out the person from Karachi but you can't take out Karachi for that person's heart...
