Most people think Philippine history begins with Ferdinand Magellan. It doesn't. The real story begins 70,000 years earlier. Long before Spain. Long before Europe even knew these islands existed. A human being stepped onto Philippine soil — and started one of the most extraordinary stories in all of human history. In this video we tell the complete history of the Philippines before colonization. From the very first humans to arrive in the archipelago, to the ancient kingdoms that traded with China, India, and Arabia — to the breathtaking gold artifacts that proved pre-colonial Filipino civilization was far more advanced than anyone taught you in school. This is the history that faded during centuries of colonial rule. Today — we bring it back. What You Will Learn In This Video: Who the very first Filipinos were and where they came from The shocking Denisovan DNA discovery hiding inside Filipino Negrito bloodlines What the Tabon Cave skull — 47,000 years old — reveals about the first humans in the Philippines How the Austronesian migration connected Filipinos genetically to the Maori, Hawaiians, and Malagasy people The ancient kingdoms of Ma-i, Tondo, Butuan, Sulu, and Cebu and their documented trade with China What the Laguna Copperplate Inscription proves about pre-colonial Filipino civilization The Surigao Treasure and the Golden Tara of Agusan — the gold that stunned the world How much of this history gradually faded during centuries of colonial rule and how archaeologists are recovering it Question For You: Did you learn about any of these kingdoms in school? Or is this the first time you are hearing these names? If you could bring back one piece of pre-colonial Filipino culture that faded during centuries of colonial rule — what would it be? The Baybayin script? The ancient gold traditions? The political independence of the rajahnates? The spiritual practices of the babaylan? Drop your answer in the comments below. We read every single one. Don't Miss What's Coming Next: In the next video we are going deep into the Kingdom of Tondo — the forgotten empire at the mouth of the Pasig River that traded with China for centuries and ruled the northern Philippines long before Manila had a name. Before Spain come to Philippines. an Arab Muslim missionaries come first in maharlika (name of Philippines before) he come for peace and for spreading Islam then leave in peace. Unlike Spain, America, Japan, and chaina. Occupied the Philippines and took the freedom of the Filipinos. Many dies because of their greed.

Pigafetta, Agoncillo wrote for the colonizers
I am very shocked of what i learned here that i couldn't learn and heard from school. Thank you so much for this videos research highly appreciated❤️❤️❤️
The rajah, sultan, etc, that were present in the Philippines before Magellan came were thought in out Philippine History subject in our elementary, particularly when I was in Grade 4,and that was in 1970, if I remember it right. We learned about the East Indians, Arabs, Chinese, etc. already trading with Filipinos long before Magellan came and we have laws already and communities. We were not ignorant uneducated people as others thought. We were taught in school then about kingdoms that already existed then.
No wonder theres alot of gold in Philippines specially in Mindanao.
Maraming salamat po😇
Thanks for sharing, school changes the History, from colonization to discovery
Philipine is a great country❤
It's a work of fiction. Although it mentions some facts like the "copperplate" in Palawan, still the whole story is a myth not backed up by written documents and other primary sources.
Yes I believed because in NY there's Museum that displayed all the Gold jewelry of the Filipino Ancestors. And I had come to learned so e of it in our schools History. Thank you Sir for the additional history.of our beloved Country PHILIPPINES.
