No need to overcomplicate it. Just divide 2x-8 by 2 as shown in the original equation. 2x/2=1x (just x) and -8/2 =-4 so it will be x-4

I didn’t see the lesson for this topic yet, but this is actually very easy. I solved it within seconds using my mind. But I didn’t solve it like you did. Maybe I solved it the wrong way. 2x-8 : 2 = 2x -8 1x -4 Each x min 4 X-4

Can someone tell me why 2x has to be next to the 8 if the answer would be the same as 2 divided by 8? Example in real life please
"SO first we label the things as variables, So 2 is X and 8 is Y as in Y do we care"
